Who We Are

Title Info Now! is a group of title companies, working together, to provide prior policy information to fellow title companies – as easily, conveniently and inexpensively as possible. And what better way to do just that than through the World Wide Web.

When we began in early 1999, we were a small group of industry representatives who wanted to have a site that could be a useful resource tool for us – and for our peers. It needed to be a site where we could store all of the prior title policy information from our participating companies into a combined, searchable database. This information could then be shared across companies for a minimal cost, saving time and money. Surprisingly, we were the first title company consortium in the nation to do this.

It’s a grand plan, and we are in the building stage. Right now we’re focusing on policies from title companies in the upper Midwest. We intend to roll this concept out into selected markets in other regions as well.

Minnesota title companies using new starter exchange technology

Underwriting and agent Competitors unite and develop unique prior policy system

Two years ago a proposal called FeeSimpleHosting swept through the title insurance industry. Supporters had grand hopes for the national starter exchange. The goal was to get 80 percent of the title underwriters in the Unitled States to instruct their policy issuing offices, direct and agency, to use a new way of submitting policy copies--posting them to the Internet.

While the controversial concept of a national starter exchange, which never gained full acceptance, is still simmering on the back burner, a new initiative is emerging, with a new approach to the problem of sharing data to improve efficiency. Title Info Now! . . . (Read Entire Article)
